Add Gift Card

Note

This feature currently exists only via Chase Paymentech (NetConnect).

A Gift card can be added by clicking on Add button on the Manage Gift Cards page.

The default Add Gift card page looks as follows:

The page contains the following elements:

  1. Number of Cards? — Field to enter the number of cards to be added. By default the value will be 1.
  2. Amount — Field to enter the amount of the Gift card.
  3. Currency — Drop-down to select the currency, will be disabled if Multi-currency is not enabled at the merchant level.
  4. Gift Card Nickname — Field to enter a nickname to easily identify the Gift card.
  5. Memo — Field to enter any related text regarding the Gift card.
  6. Gift Card Information — Section which includes the following gift card details:
    • Payment Method — Drop-down which displays with the default vaue as Gift card
    • Card Number — Field to enter the Gift card number which should be at least 1 digits long.
    • Name On Card — Feild to enter the name of the Gift card.
    • Card Security Code (CVD)/PIN — Field to enter the PIN number of the Gift card which should be at least 4 digits long.
  7. Billing Information — section which includes all the fields to enter the Billing information of the user adding the Gift card.
  8. Cancel — Button which cancels the process and takes the user to the Manage Gift Cards page.
  9. Review — Button which gets enabled when all the required fields are filled and takes the user to the Review Gift Card page.

Clicking upon the Review button the user is taken to the Review Gift Card page where all the information can be reviewed in a disabled state.

Review Gift Card page displays with Modify, Cancel, and Confirm buttons.

Clicking upon Modify button, the user is taken to the Add Gift Card page with the preserved values where the user can modify the information.
Clicking upon Cancel button, the user is taken to the Manage Gift Cards page.
Clicking upon Confirm button confirms the Add process and the user is taken to the Confirmation page with all the Gift card details.

The Confirmation page Contains the following elements:

Review Gift Card

  1. Gift Card Information — The section which displays with the details of Name On Card, Card Number, Number Of Cards, Amount, and Gift Card Nickname.
  2. Billing Information — section which includes the address details of the user.
  3. Response — Section which includes the details like Created Date & Time, Response Code, Response Message etc.which are returned by the Payment Gateway.
  4. Other Information — Section which includes details like Order Id, Processor etc.
  5. Add — Button when clicked upon takes the user to the Add Gift Card page to add another Card.
  6. Manage Gift cards — Link which takes the user to the Manage Gift Cards page.
  7. Email, Text Message, and Print — buttons through which the information can be sent via email, text message to other recipients and also can print the details.

The user receives an email and text message when a Gift Card has been added.
